还有一个问题，签证的有效期是签证官给的，在美国的停留时间是入关的时候给的。对吗？

You'd better read that package carefully. As I remember, it says "The following material may not be valid for visa application", and "rental" is one of them.You can specify the time you want to stay in, but I don't know how an officer determines that. If you say 10 years, probably, the visa will be rejected because you intend to live in. Normally one person can stay thru 6 months with a B1/B2 visa.
