Basil, rosemary, mint and parsley were planted from baby seedlings (from Costco). These herbs are easy to take care and do not attract mosquitoes. I love to grow them.

  • I have started to grow some vegetables for about one month. So far I have only brought some baby leaves and herbs to kitchen. All others are still growing in the tiny garden. Hopefully I can harvest more within the next three months. +3
    • Baby leaves picked and tiny garden. +1

    • Bok choy, Romain lettuce and celery were planted from tiny baby seedlings (from No Frills garden centre). I found Bok choy is too easy to catch pests and I am going to stop growing it soon. +1

      • Swiss chard should be doing very well. You probably will be able to pick some after a week or two.
        • Yes, most likely.😁
    • Zucchini, cucumber and white eggplant were planted from tiny baby seedlings ( from No Frills garden centre).

    • The bitter melons were planted from sowing seeds ( I took out the seeds from a bitter melon before cooking and kept them for about half year before sowing). Beside the bitter melons,

there are scarlet runner beans and purple peacock beans ( I mixed them up when sowing and I can not identify each one of them now). Thanks to Sailor for the seeds of beans. The vines of these beans grow very fast.

The Bush Early Girl tomato was planted from a seedling ( from Costco).

Amaranth and purslane are edible weeds. They came into my garden unexpectly. I think they are probably from addition of organic fertilizer and top soil.

The green onions were planted from short stems(about 2" long) with roots (from a grocery store). Green onions grow very fast.

    • Congratulations! Your garden looks amazing and rewarding! +1
      • Thanks for your encouragement! Actually I planted them very late (in June), and I had to omit some maintenance after planting due to unexpected medical activities and situation.
